If you’re new to herbalism, then these are the facts that you need.
The Burning Crusade Classic offers players a number of different professions that can be very useful to them. They are ways of earning WoW TBC gold, finding WoW TBC Classic items, and helping you through Burning Crusade power leveling too. But what is it that makes herbalism so useful? This article will be taking a closer look at the profession and what it can do to benefit the player.
What is Burning Crusade Classic Herbalism?
As you may have figured out, Herbalism in TBC Classic is the art of collecting herbs. This is predominantly used in the likes of alchemy, as well as potentially earning bonuses for WoW TBC items that you have harvested. It also has the benefit of being used to help you through quests in which you need to find herbs. Not only that, it can be used to find the Sporeggar currency known as the Glowcap. If you do choose to pursue TBC Classic Herbalism, then you will be able to use the Find Herbs ability to find herb nodes. These are displayed on a minimap, so you can find them easily.

What’s Different with Herbalism in TBC Classic?
When comparing it to the retail version of the game, there are some differences that come to mind. For example, you can have several herbalists harvesting at one node, after which it disappears after one minute. However, in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the node will disappear once it has been picked.
Another difference is that in WoW TBC, what you are able to pick depends on the level at which your Herbalism is at. When there are herbs that are within your level, you can still technically fail at picking them. This isn’t an issue in retail, as the herbs you pick isn’t decided by your level.
You also don’t actually gain any experience if you are picking herbs in The Burning Crusade. You do get experience in retail, albeit a small amount. You can only track a single object at any time in TBC Classic too. However, if you are playing retail, then you can track a number of objects at the same time.
What Other Profession Should I Use?
If you want to pair up TBC Classic Herbalism with another skill, then try out alchemy. This is something that uses herbs rather often, though there are some other professions that you could choose to use instead. These include both skinning and mining. If you are looking for more ways to make WoW TBC gold, then this is a good way to do it.
With skinning, you won’t have to swap out tracking like you would with mining, so you might want to opt for this option for the added convenience. That said, you might have to find a mod to help you get around the fact that you can’t track herbs whilst tracking elsewhere. With the right mod, you could find mining very useful indeed when used with TBC Herbalism.
What Class Should I Use?
In terms of what class you should use, many would argue that the Druid is the best choice. The fact that they are able to get herbs whilst they are travelling is a major bonus. By bringing in Flight Form as part of TBC Classic, you will be able to navigate from different herb nodes without having to stop.
What Race Should I choose?
As for race, the Tauren does have a slight advantage. It is able to use the ability known as Cultivation, which will give you a +15 boost to your Herbalism skill in the game. The good thing about this is that it means that you can harvest herbs that are a higher level quicker than you would be able to if you didn’t choose this race.
So, as you can see, there are a lot of benefits to you using TBC Classic Herbalism in the game. It might mean that you won’t have to buy WoW TBC gold at any point, since there is potential for you to make money from it. It may not have much effect on the likes of WoW TBC power leveling, but when you pair it with other professions, it can be super effective. Like a lot of things in The Burning Crusade, you get out of it what you are willing to put in. So if you do want to dedicate yourself to being the best herbalist you can be, then there is plenty of options for you to do so. Just be sure to be wary of the classes, professions and races that you choose.
